Despite having a very strong 2015, Travis Scott hasn’t been well-received by his peers in 2016. If you recall, we documented Travis’ tumultuous year and whether the Houston rapper was either a phenom on the brink cracking open his shell of superstardom, or just a bust. Well, it appears that several of his peers think he’s ripping off someone’s style.
Travis has been berated by the likes fashion consultant Ian Connor and A$AP Nast for biting off A$AP Rocky’s style. Ian Connor obliterated Travi$ a couple of days ago by posting a side by side picture of Rocky and Scott. He wrote “Congratulaions. You played yourself” mocking the “3500” rapper. Nast also chimed in recently on Instagram and said that Travis was ripping A$AP Mob’s style by choosing to wear Stone Island — a brand repped heavily by the New York collective. Rocky finally chimed in on the situation regarding Travis biting off his style and answered the question once and for all.
Rocky spoke to Ebro in the Morning earlier today and debunked Connor’s claim about Travis biting his style. “If you’re going to do something and influence, you can’t be arrogant about it when someone gets inspired.”
He also wanted to “let the people decide if he [Travis] was a biter or authentic.” He also called Connor an instigator for starting the whole thing.
