50 has proven he can glide with the younger kids of today’s generation. His collaboration with Kendrick Lamar “We Up” signified that. When he gave Sonny Digital’s “I’m the Man” a test run, he once again proved he can segue into the new era of trap-sounding beats with no problems. If you look at his track-record, he’s currently sitting at 2-3, meaning his first two albums were fire, but his last three were mediocre.

I love 50 and believe in his ability to pen poignant hooks, it’s just I don’t know if he can craft another dope album. I have no problems listening to 50 on the mixtape grind, but he hasn’t proven to the world that he’s outdated. The last single of his that charted was in 2012 “My Life” featuring Alicia Keys. That song peaked at 27. That’s four years ago. 50 is better suited as a featured artist, and someone who can drop mixtapes.

I have no problems with that 50, but I don’t think anybody is clamoring for another 50 Cent album. I hope I’m wrong, but judging by this generation, he might not having anybody willing to check for him. SHARE this story.
