There’s no doubt that DMX had his run at the top of hip-hop in the late 90s and early 2000s, but unfortunately since then his name has been surrounded by controversy. X, who’s been in and out of jail, was recently released from a several month prison bid in Erie County Holding Center last Friday. Since then, he’s given his first interview following receiving back his freedom.
In a sit-down with News 4’s Nalina Shapiro, the rapper was aware of the mistakes he’s made in the past and has vowed to change his ways, especially in his efforts to become a Pastor. The current Deacon also revealed new verses he’s written, most of which featuring a new take more appreciative of his blessings. While we’re optimistic DMX’s intentions are genuine, we’d be lying if we didn’t say we think he’s lost his mind. But then again, we could also be few years late. Watch the interview below.
