2016 has been the year of beef so far. With Drake and Meek still shooting their shots and Iggy Azalea and Azalea Banks rekindling their beef, beef is ubiquitously finding itself on foot door of every notable celeb. Now, it appears two comedic stars are on the verge of embarking in a battle of their own.
Katt Williams threw his name in the proverbial ring of fire on Monday when he called out comedian of the moment, Kevin Hart. “See I seen your stuff on social media, I know what you do, but you do it for play-play. If you do for real, here it is Kevin,” he said. “I got a show at your hometown, in Philly, I’ma tape my special there. On that stage, we can put whatever you want: a full-court basketball court, a boxing ring, two microphones for a rap cypher, or you can get your ass dusted in comedy on that stage. But it’s one million dollars up for each one. That $5 million, Mr. $28 million in Forbes. I’ll be bringin’ mine in cash, mitch. Bring yours however you want. And since you not a puppet, don’t bring no white people with you then.”
At a recent gig, Williams also berated Hart for allegedly sleeping his way to the top. He didn’t hold anything back. See what Kevin Hart had to say.
“I’ve already proven that if the best they got in comedy is Kevin Hart — don’t you boo a Black man working hard, baby,” he said. “Even if that n****’s a puppet, it’s not his fault. We don’t get mad. Just because I’m better than some Black dudes, doesn’t mean I’m better than no Black dudes. I’m saying if you want to be mad at Kermit The Frog, don’t be mad at Kermit The Frog, be mad at Jim Henson. Don’t say, ‘F**k Donald Duck’ when you really mean, ‘F**k Walt Disney.’”
Kevin Hart responded on his Instagram Oscar night after he took a picture with Dave Chappele and Chris Rock. “Me & Dave Chappelle with our brother @chrisrock tonight at the Oscars. True professionals understand the importance of sticking together & supporting one another….at the end of the day we are comedians & there aren’t many that make it to level that we have made it. But so many doors are opened from the success of one comedian & when you see those doors open you then have the opportunity to walk thru them….it’s about helping one another not trying to tear each other down!!!! The insecure ones will never understand that “Support & encouragement.” We only have to wonder if Kevin Hart will respond to the $5 million challenge by Williams.
