After belting her rendition of the National Anthem at Monday night’s College Championship game between Alabama and Clemson, you would have thought that Ciara would receive nothing but praise. In reality, Ciara is now on the defense because of her outfit was deemed to racy for the public’s taste.
Campus Insiders reporter, Bonnie Bernstein was one of the first to take stabs at the R&B songstress on Twitter. “Dear Ciara. You’re stunning. But this is a National Championship Game. Kids are watching. Cover up.” Fox Sports 1 reports, Jason Whitlock tried to serve as an ally for Bernstein by saying the following: “I’m 100 percent serious. I’m not a prude. Love nudity. Not at national champ game. Inappropriate.”
Many came to Ciara’s defense by saying that her dress wasn’t anything to worry about and in fact, there were bigger issues at hand.
For one, people were bemused by the fact that Ciara was the one being attacked, when in reality, there were cheerleaders wearing more revealing outfits than her, and some weren’t even over 21.
In addition to that, people also complained that Bernstein and Whitlock should be more concerned about how that these young football players aren’t being compensated for their play, despite their schools raking in millions.
Who do you guys think is in the wrong here, Ciara or Bernstein and Whitlock? Please make sure to SHARE with your friends.
