Chris Brown Hot 97 Interview

Fresh off his hot performance in Brooklyn last night at Powerhouse 2014, Chris Brown paid a visit to Hot 97 to address a lot of issues in his career and life. During his sit-down at “Ebro In The Morning,” the pop star spoke about his personal demons; starting a family in the future; moving forward with his life and who he would like to be this year for Halloween. Check out some highlights from the interview and watch all four parts below.

On his new album X:

“Sales…we’re almost at 400,000, almost.”

On his demons:

“Being afraid of failure, that’s my biggest demon. It’s about life moving forward. People make mistakes. My only demon is just the doubt in myself sometimes.”

On his reconciliation with Rihanna:

“I wanted to make sure it was still there. But at the end of the day I wanted to make amends with her, showing her that I could be the man that she wanted me to be.”

On the Drake club fight situation:

“That was, who got the biggest account in the room? That’s what that was.”

On his girlfriend Karrueche Tran:

“She’s straight. I dig her. She’s dope. I just feel like especially being in this industry you just need someone that understands you.”

On how much he charges for a feature on a song:

“The most I’ll charge is $250,000.”

On having a family in the future:

“I need a little Chris Brown ’cause when I can’t dance no more I gotta teach them something.”

On his infamous Michael Jackson Tribute:

“He sent a couple of angels down to help me out.”

On his artwork:

“When I started doing art four or five years ago, my biggest piece went for $10,000.”

On his musical career:

“I don’t know what the future holds. But, I know what my focus is. I know that I’m focused on my music, living my life right, doing the right thing.”

On who he’ll be this year for Halloween:

“I should be Kid Ink. That might work.”
