Cam’Ron may be readying to hang up his microphone as far as solo albums go, but the rapper’s previous albums are starting to celebrate milestones. The Dipset member’s Purple Haze project has just turned 11 years old this week, and was such a staple album to catapult his career as not just an MC, but, overall, as an artist.

Although the project’s release was delayed significantly, as “Get Em Girls” dropped as a single a year beforehand, it debuted at no. 20 on the Billboard charts. While it never did well numbers-wise, fans may argue that this is probably his best album.

Although the project saw a lot of his Dipset family scattered all over it, the album also saw features from Kanye West, Jaheim, and Twista. The album’s production also saw some of the beginning peak days of Kanye West, who just made his debut as a rapper at the time. Almost every track contained a sample.
