The Queens native was the first rapper signed to Def Jam all the way back in 1985, and has become one of the longest-running veterans in the game. While it seems like he might have hung up the mic, his legacy still lives on, with an incredible career behind him. Today is his birthday, so it’s time we reflect on his greatness.
