Huey aka Mister “Pop Lock & Drop It” was born January 1, 1989 in St. Louis, Missouri. Huey signed his first recording contract with Jive in 2006, founded and signed by Mickey “MeMpHiTz” Wright, a former A&R rep who discovered T Pain.

Huey’s debut LP Notebook Paper and hit single, “Pop, Lock & Drop It,” would also be his 15 minutes of fame as the record reached #4 on the U.S. Rhythmic & #2 on U.S. Hot Rap Songs on Billboard charts. As the record also reached gained status for achieving double platinum, we haven’t heard much or heard a peep from Huey considering his second record  hasn’t reached a quarter of the success of Notebook Paper.
